I'll keep all the Updates as they occur in this thread. Weedy is off to an early lead as normal with wingnut closing fast....

I've given the lowest points combined to Notre Dame and Michigan State. Might be why I'm in 17th right now.

Just added 2 more final scores and grum takes the lead.......

I must be still feeling it from my dose of stupid juice, but I don't get it. Weren't we supposed to get 16 points each time the team we gave the 16 to won, and then 15 and so on? With one (at most) game played, I'm seeing numbers like 48 and 39 from an individual team, which doesn't seem possible. (and honest, this has nothing to do with the fact that I'm battling it out for the costanza...I will still rule you all, just wait)

I used a factor of 3 so 16 x 3 = 48 and so forth........Hope that helps......... Off to the MSU vs ND Game

A-HA! With the newest update, I have vaulted from a tie for twelfth to...twelfth all by myself! And so the devastation begins.

Just added 2 more final scores and grum takes the lead....... If, for some bizarre reason, I end up winning this, I think the phrase "pulling an owlhouse" should be added to the SportsFilter lexicon. I have no knowledge of NCAA hockey.

Looks like Minnesota-North Dakota is in overtime. Gophers winning will greatly increase my chances of staying out of the Costanza zone. Super long edit window edit: Looks like North Dakota has won it.

North Dakota wins in OT 3-2 over the Gophers.......... All games updated. Tselson in the lead with weedy closing fast followed closely by emoeby.....

I suck at this game. The Eagles, however, do not suck. Go Eagles and Black Bears! Yay East!

Woo Hoo!! My abilities are based solely on the fact that I am the living embodiment of hockey writ large. This can be the only explanation - cuz I don't know shit about NCAA hockey aside from the Hobey Baker finalists. I am attempting to 'owlhouse' this whole pool. (and agree that this needs to be a noun, verb and adverb in the SpoFi lexicon.)

Let's not lower standards here. I think we have to appreciate "the owlhouse" as an whole other level of accomplishment. In winning the World Series pick 'em pool and the CFL pick 'em pool, owlhouse was operating not just in areas where he doesn't really follow the sport but where the sports are largely not played in his country (I know this is not technically true, certainly with respect to baseball, but bear with me). To complete a true owlhouse would require one of us Americans or Canadians to win a cricket or rugby pool (again, I know these sports exist in the U.S. and Canada and that Canada actually participates in the cricket World Cup). Not to rain on weedy's parade, but if he wins here, I would refer to it as a "demi-owlhouse" or an "owlhouse junior."

Agreed. A minor league 'owlhouse' - The triple AAA of owlhousery, if you will. You know what? I'll take it.

I'm not sure weedy deserves such an honor since although he doesn't seem to have much knowledge of college hockey, he is Canadian and it is hockey.

Hi, my name is Todd. I'm a AA Owlhouse. Also, my 14 year old cat just took a very large leak in the middle of my living room. Life is good...am I on step three yet?
