The World Cup Confidence pool - final results.: Delayed somewhat due to the site's downtime but those that need a featured place to gloat or bemoan their lack of success can bring it here.
Congrats, BPP! Nice last minute jump into the top spot! Las Vegas seems to know their stuff. I thought they'd be screwed by how badly the USA did, but in the end, they faired pretty damn well.

The (very) full table is here. Nice to see the FIFA rankings making a credible go at the Costanza.

Yeah, congrats Bullpen, well played. I was so close to winning, and I basically lost on freakin penalty kicks. My best finish yet in a SpoFi pool though, ironically in a sport I know next to nothing about. Yay me! /focuses chi, turns and headbutts BullpenPro.

MrFrisby, did you really use a random function to rank your picks? that would seem quite lucky if you did so well with that strategy. of course my strategy was awful and not random.

I'm a little upset with the tie-breaker. I think we should have tied BBP and Mr Frisby together at the wrist and let them go at it with switch blades.

Yes I did, gspm, but not all 32 at the same time. Here's how I did it. Yes it was very lucky, but I had nothing to go by besides maybe FIFA rankings. I just like playing in these pools and flipping a coin didn't work in the World Baseball Classic. For the record, I did watch most of the weekend games.

I have never been more embarrassed to win anything in my life. Despite my best intentions to do so during this Cup, I have never seen a soccer game all the way through. Never even close. Secret to my success? I looked at some pool that billsaysthis posted here, and based my picks exclusively on the dollar values given in that game (you were allotted a certain amount of "dollars" to spend, and countries were valued based on the likelihood of their success). Where there were ties, I picked the country I liked more. I didn't vary from that at system anywhere on the list. If the vote is for switch blades, I offer my throat to MrFlyingDiscTM. In the meantime, I will be over here basking the brilliance of my very successful formula of laziness and mediocrity.

I got so many things wrong, yet still managed to get equal third place human being. No offence, Las Vegas Odds, but you are an inanimate object. I'm happy to let BPerk win the tiebreaker, without recourse to violence. Years of watching Derby County have cured me of any excess testosterone.

I enjoyed that quite a bit, and the photo-finish win by BPP was exciting to watch, even from back here in 7th place. Congrats, BPP! And Mr. Frisby: Ha ha ha ha ha!

Bullpen Pro edges Mr Frisby on the "ranking Italy higher" tiebreaker after Mr Frisby dominated all the early returns.
