Fantasy baseball again this year?: Anyone interested?

Never too early to think fantasy baseball. I'm in. Yahoo? They usually have their version ready to go around spring training.

I'm definitely in.

I'm going to have to pass this year. I sucked so bad last year, and totally abandonded my team after I moved. It's amazing how being unemployed leaves me less time to do fantasy baseball than when I had a 9 to 5er.

I would, but I know less about individual baseball players than I do football players...and given my 1-13 showing in the football league, I'd say I better pass...

Good amount of interest so far. Yeah, it's still early. Very true. We'll decide on a commish in a couple weeks I guess.

With Yahoo, yes. The CBS thing was too user-unfriendly. Plus I think I'm still getting email updates.

MY PROBLEM WITH FANTASY BASEBALL IS THAT IT IS DAUNTING TO KEEP UP THE ENTIRE YEAR. IVE FOUND THAT BY JULY, I CARE MORE ABOUT THE RACES THAN I DO MY OWN TEAM- MABYE BECAUSE I HAVE PEOPLE LIKE JULIAN TAVAREZ PITCHING FOR ME...

there's lots of people that join spofi fantasy pools and don't participate after the first couple of months. they usually don't have a CAPS LOCK problem though. I don't have a problem keeping up with it for a whole year but then again I don't really follow baseball outside of September and October otherwise so. i'll be in. if Mr Bismarck is in then my hopes are up that I'll finish higher than somebody besides those that don't participate after the first couple of months.

hell, i'm in too. that way gspm can finish higher than 2 people.

That's really funny that you make the caps joke, and then you say you are a baseball fan for September and October. To me that is the funniest thing I've ever heard. Why do you just come out and say you know nothing about sports. I like to refer to you as a Sportscenter fan. I love you guys, you are the most fun to make look stupid when talking about sports...

gee thanks MARCD, on your sixth comment on the site you're picking on me. as though you know me. as though you can know me from one comment, as though that one comment can lead you to logically conclude those things about me. from your comments I can conclude that you are a twat for reacting like that on the same day you join spofi. i'll let you change my mind though.

but be consistent and pass JG some invective for pointing out your caps lock problem too. unless the real issue is that i am not allowed to suggest that baseball is like my fourth favourite sport and thus am not permitted to play in a fantasy pool. my bad.

CAPS LOCK syndrome is a very serious problem. No joke. But recent research and developments in medicine have made it possible for those afflicted to go and press the caps lock key once more and end this dreadful typing syndrome... or some people just yell all the time I guess?

Hey, I liked the sportsline game better than Yahoo. Does that make me an apostate? Since corpse is out, I'd be willing to pony up to do it again.

That makes you a sucker. If you are a fan of smog you can stand in for the corpse.

MLB may limit the license for the free game to only one provider. I read this in the SportsBusiness Journal (all stories are under subscriber protection) so I am not sure if the Yahoo-Sportsline debate will be moot.

MLB may limit the license for the free game to only one provider. Yet another way to alienate fans.

I'm in. After a year off due to a horrible no-trade vote orchestrated by the queen here, I want a shot. Plus, coming off the fantasy football championship I'm feelin good. Is there a free site that has a keeper league? Also, anyone know how I get the championship banner put in profile. While I'm drunk & typing - Colts will win the Super Bowl.

I know nothing about baseball and never get a chance to watch it over here, as the only live games are on at about 1 in the morning. Sign me up.
