Seattle by 3 Green Bay by 6 Jets by 1 in OT Indianapolis by 21 (and now I'll fill in my brother's Broncos rant: "They do this every year, they sleep their way into the playoffs and then they fall apart like wet cardboard! Broncos, you steenk!!!")

St Louis by 3 (the Shaun Alexander thing will do just enough to cause this loss) Green Bay by 10 (#4 has the gas for this win and no more) Jets by 3 (My Mom is a big NYJ fan and she rules... plus I will be watching this with her as we're meeting them in Palm Desert for the weekend) Indianapolis by 10 (I would give a bigger margin but have some respect left for Shanahan)

Rams over the Seahawks by 6. Seattle is just limping home now. Green Bay over whoever wins the auction by 10. Randy Moss will make one circus catch, but it'll be in the first quarter when it doesn't mean anything. Chargers by a field goal. LT's longest run of the night will come with under 2 minutes to go to get them into field goal position. and Indy by, oh, 21. They won't win it all, but they will romp here. Payton throws for 5 TDs and Plummer crumbles.

NoMich, you can remove all the new lines in your table to avoid the extra spaces.
posted by danostuporstar at 07:23 PM on January 08, 2005
NM - when you've done the table, run it through this. Is teh fluff.
posted by Mr Bismarck at 07:59 PM on January 08, 2005
My first prediction, foiled by the Seattle receivers who have hands of solid granite.
posted by lil_brown_bat at 08:32 PM on January 08, 2005
My first two are going into the toilet, thanks to Nate Kaeding making like he's Ray Finkle...now he can go around saying "laces out" too... should have done opposite picks.

Well, that late game was the sloppiest game I've seen in a long damn time. I'm a Jets fan, but they are going to get stomped next week, no matter where they play.

Damn, that late game was goat v. goat. Oh, and thanks for the table posting tips up there.

l_b_b, your second prediction made it all back. Couldn't help but notice.

lbb even called overtime. She should win a special hat.
posted by Mr Bismarck at 04:58 AM on January 09, 2005
I don't get the hat because I couldn't stay awake for it. I just couldn't watch any more. "You take it!" "No, you take it!" I don't know why, but I had this feeling they'd both be falling around like flies before the thing was over. Talk about two teams determined to snatch defeat from the jaws of victory. Who wins the Goat of the Game award: Eric Barton, for that utterly stupid headsmack on Drew Brees that turned a great goal-line stand into a waste of time; or Nate Kaeding, for blowing that field goal?

I fixed the table formatting. And I'm bracing for another soul-crushing Vikings loss. Clearly I am not smart.

D'oh! This is what I get for not visiting often enough! I didn't get my picks in. Though to be honest, for my work pool I had San Diego by 3 and Seattle by 7, so it's probably a good thing I didn't get my picks in on time for this one... But if you are taking any Sunday picks still, here are mine: Green Bay by 6 Indianapolis by 3

Well, it's all over. I got four points, goddammit Brett Favre four interceptions?!??!? How'd the rest of y'all do?
posted by lil_brown_bat at 06:57 PM on January 09, 2005
Four points for picking the right teams but I stink at guessing spreads. I am surprised, though, at how many of you picked the Packers to win.
