NFL Draft Recap

I'm with terrapin...kudos to the Steelers for drafting Santonio Holmes! The kid is a beast, and we loved watching him play at OSU. We're even more thrilled to be able to watch him play for Pittsburgh. Here's to hoping he fulfills the spot left vacant by Randle El's departure!

Field of Dreams.

The second link makes me angry. The third link tugs at my heart in ways I can't begin to describe.

Legends of the game are perplexed

Let's not forget that Jack was the Tiger of his day. He always held an advantage because of his length. That's right, and tournaments didn't go around "Jack-proofing" their courses. Also, while Tiger is the one you hear about, other guys are constantly hitting it as long as Tiger. Also correct. Tiger is the one that's focused on because of everything he has done in and for golf. When another highly dominant player comes along and Tiger is no longer the "face" of the PGA, are the courses going to try to change to make it more difficult for that particular player, too?

Take Me Out of This Broadcast Booth

I grew up listening to Caray on WGN, but it sounds like it's a good thing I never knew him!

Most Valuable Players Wanted More Valuable Paycheck

But, I wish these athletes would change places with the average people for just a week to see what its like to live off of $400 dollars a week and then see how they feel. Amen. It was in bad taste that Montana and Bradshaw didn't show up, and from what I've read and heard, both were in Detroit the week before the game. Come on, Terry! This was Pittsburgh playing in the Super Bowl! So much for burying the hatchet three years ago.

Woods acquires Jupiter Island property for $38 million

Having over 13,000 square feet, if guess if he and Elin got into a fight over some badly cooked Swedish food, he could go to some corner of his house and not have to see her for days.

Who cares what YOU believe, Mikey?

"I know Marcus. He's not the kind of kid that's going to do something like that on purpose. " No, he's just the king of kid who will wave a gun at people outside a fast food restaurant, but he would never purposely step on another player and bring him injury. (sarcasm) Yeah. Right.

Peja for Artest.

Didn't Artest say at one point that he really wanted to go to the Knicks?

Peja for Artest.

I'm beginning to wonder the same thing.

Peja for Artest.

Apparently the trade is now off. That was quick.

Peja for Artest.

My husband's nephew plays for the Kings, so we've been hearing about this since December. I totally agree with Red in that if Artest can keep his head on straight, the Kings have the far better deal. Rick Adelman has a way of "reforming" the bad seeds, so I'm hoping that this one is no different.

Fan threatens to sue Davis

I agree, it's just another way for someone to make a quick buck. Hopefully a judge laughs the schmuck and his case out of court.

9th round pick Luc Robitaille become Kings leading goal scorer.

I liked Robitaille when he played for Detroit, but I'm thrilled for him to be back where he's playing so well.

Professional Football Continues to be the Nation’s Favorite Sport

I think it's safe to say that everyone has their favorite(s) and their own reasons why they like whichever sport the best. I'm not surprised that football is the nation's most popular sport for several reasons, but it's early, I'm still trying to recover from watching the Kings-Lakers game on TNT last night, and the coffee isn't done yet. For the record, I love football, Nascar (even with my degree), and baseball. I used to be such a hockey homer until the lockout, and then I just haven't been able to get back into it. Basketball is growing on me, slowly.
