As a Lions fan(unfortunateley) I am glad to see a class act like Charlie Sanders get in to the Hall when players like him get overlooked. If he was a Cowboy or a Steeler, he would have made it 20 years ago, but good for him. One other thing Charlie, You wrote IT, God just gave you the tools, including guts and grit to be able to. Congrats!

Blah, blah, blah, Dessert Dog. You were sweatin' there before the final bowl pairings were announced. You know things would be different in Glendale if we we're there. Anyway, the sour grapes in my mouth a those that were force fed to me by the BcS. You may beat Florida, but nothing is settled properly unless we have a playoff.

OSU blows, Michigan is the better team and you all know it. If they played that game under normal circumstances and not the day after one of the most prominent figures in Michigan history, if not all of college football, dies, we crush you. OSU is so one dimensional that it is just ridiculous. Troy Smith is a great athlete, but without him your nothing. Anyway, good luck next year, Slick, you'll need it. Oh, by the way, if one is responsible for voting, then vote all the time and not just when it is convenient for you.

All this proves is what we already know; the system they say works, does not. On the Notre Dame thing, the bcs was developed in favor of the domers, and to my knowledge, have yet to play for a title in which this whole mess was created for. We will get the bracket as soon as ND wins a title under their system. It is all about money, yet what they(the university heads)don't get is that with a bracket, they can draw more interest and make everyone more money, and get a true champion. On the Michigan deal...I'm a huge fan, but I agree, a U of M victory over OSU would be hollow(though I would still feel good about it). They had their chance and now it's Florida's turn to get their asses beat. Anyway, I will feel good when Michigan kicks the cream out of USC. #2 ain't so bad.

Way too much time on your hands, friends. Let's review in a few years.

Michigan football will never be the same. When you think of the state of Michigan for anything, not just college football, one of the first five things on the list is Bo Schembechler. He name IS Michigan, through and through and, although live goes on, it will never have someone quite like him again. He was truly one of a kind.

I wasn't crazy about it at first, but in thinking about it for a while, Detroit may just have the same "calming" effect that it had on one Rasheed Wallace. We all know what we got in that deal, so just wait and see. Something tells me that a t worst case(for 2007 ayt least) I see the 3 and 5 hitters (Mags and Pudge) having a great year. Anyway, now there really isn't anyone to pitch around...I mean 8 of the 9 don't scare you to death, but anyone of them can be hot at the right time and bite you. It is all good, but no good unless we win it all in '07.

I agree...useless award for the favorites. I am also as perplexed as you, Jersey, why one guy with more errors and a lower fielding percentage wins the award for the best defender at his position. Might just be intangables...I mean this is Derek Jeter were talking about. I think guys really try to hit the ball harder to him, or in such a way by which he is challenged more than other guys. Gold glove justification complete...next question.

Ok, I'm gonna go out on a limb and say you all are wrong. This series has just begun and the Tigers WILL win. Inge..er!..the fence post will come up with some big plays, including a game winner( a walk off homer perhaps) and the pitchers will field balls and make outs at the right base. There is method to Leylands madness and I beleive these guys will come back. I like their chances at home when they win tonight..so cardinal fan..it's over for you. Schedule a parade down Main St. for the Rams or the Blues cuz this year it's going down Woodward past the Park. Go get 'em Tigers!

PANIC IN TIGER TOWN! PANIC IN TIGER TOWN!! All I can say is if Granderson, Polanco, and Pudge don't get it going it'll be over, and St.Louis will be scheduling the parade Thursday Night. Actually, that game was closer than it looked, but the defense, like game 1, was terrible. Plays like the Inge errors in game 1 and Zumaya's last night kills any chance you might have to come back. I'm not going to take anything away from Carpenter's game, but a 2-0 game is much easier to get back into. I'm a huge Tiger fan, but I'm not getting that warm fuzzy feeling about this one. I think the magic potion might have run out. GO GET 'EM TIGERS!!!

Yeah..hopefully they don't lose that momentum they have. I would never have guessed that losing 31 of 50 to end the season and choking away the AL central championship would be a blessing but as of now I could not be happier as a Tiger fan. '84 was cool, but I was just a kid, so I didn't have as much perspective as I do now. That team was also a team of Destiny with no superstar (no hall of famer yet, which is bull, but that's another topic for another day), but I believe this team is even more special because no one ever expected it. Glad to see the motor's tip top here in "Tigertown".

John Smoltz makes history
I wonder if we'd be talking about this had he never been traded by Detroit for a guy named...oh, what was his name? Oh, yeah, Alexander, Doyle Alexander. ?????????
