I dont like the trade at all. To me Shawn Green is a huge mistake. I would have rathered they picked up some more starting pitching. The Mets are not suffering with the loss of Cliff Floyd as of yet. They are on a 5 game winning streak. Not only that but, Chavez has been filling in nicely. I understand that the need a left handed out field bat. But NOT SHAWN GREEN. and I am kinda surprised that no one has mentioned the 'S' word in connection with his name. Did you see him the last couple of years? He never was a big built guy. BUT WOW! he looks like he been hitting the pipe compared to those days on the Blue Jays. I hope the fact that him and Delgado are friends can help with his comfort level. But this trade scares me... Especially next year. What the hell are we(The Mets) gonna do with an 11 home run Corner out fielder with no speed? SHOULD HAVE TRADED FOR ALFONSO SORIANO

Thank God my dad was one of my coaches in Little League and Babe Ruth League, he would never let me throw the duece. He taught me proper machanics tho, and my change up was sick.. And it didnt rip the elbow up it was a simple grip change. My favorite memory of my dad, and it pertains to this topic, is when down 2-1 bottom of the 6th ( you only play 6 in little league) man on first and 1 out. The head coach gives me the sign to bunt. I look over at my dad who is coaching first, and he gives me "the look" everyone knows "the look" from dad. I dont even show bunt and I rip a fastball down the right field line for a triple, I tie the game. When Im on 3rd the head coach is screaming my head off about how I have to sacrifice for the team... Blah Blah.. Just then I catch my dad at first and he gives me the Steal sign. I steal home and we win our little league championship.. My pops says to the head coach these are kids its not about winning its about playing . its not about bunting its about hitting.. and just incase ...We still won... LOL

This is the same knock that they had against Ray Allen, Rip Hamilton, and Charlie Villanueva. Come on I think it was you that were not "paying attention"

Nash= OVER RATED If making your team better as a PG is the requirement for MVP then what happen to JKidd's MVP award when the NETS were horrible and he lead them to the finals 2 years in a row! Also, SA looks old. Parker got exposed by Harris. Unless Big Timmy does his thing MAJOR ... Dallas got a shot.. even tho they are the chokers!

I say the MLB should supply the roids... and monitor the players with counter active drugs that limits the negative effect on the body. I mean shit, they shoot em up with every type of pain killer so that they can play is that not a performance enhancing drug??? Even more so then steriods cause they allow a player to play who wouldnt be able to because of pain and injury. jerseygirl... i am not condoning drug use so dont throw the book at me! BUT YA DIG

The Mets are going to fizzle out yet again towards the middle-end of the season. Mets and Cubs, keep dreaming. cards beat you by at least 10 games What the hell I thought the Yankees were the most hated team in NY. The Mets lineup is thick this year it all comes down to pitching. And all you Mets haters that thought your team was gonna be 9-2 at this point. After The Mets take care of Atl this week everyone will know who the class of the NL East is..... LETS GO METS GO! 1986-2006 20 years its destiny! and not to many people can play in Queens, we just have a knack of finding ball players that were getting free money with lesser market teams.

This seems like the reverse of the TO situation last year. Except now the team doesn't want him their til he "reworks" his contract. Everyone was getting on TO cause he wouldn't "honor" his contract. What the hell are the Titans doing? Especially to the guy who got you to the Super Bowl. Come on. This guy played hurt, broken, and anyway else he could wabble on to the field. Dude is the truth... I guess the Titans miss the old days and losing a 33 point lead with Warren Moon to the Bills in the the playoffs. TITANS OFFICALS ARE IDIOTS. Release him and draft soft ass Lienert! They will be dying for Air McNair Back.

He was basically always Rickey its not like he one day mad a million dollars and started talking crazy.. He was always that day. That was a great post xmutex I miss the guy old leather face as we call him in Jersey.

I like the goon tactics thas how you make sure your team gets a fair shake. When the refs won't give it to you. None of those tactics are any worse then what you will find at the court on the corner. Fugggg it..

Its funny cause this always happens just like BCS always is fugged up. I mean come on there needs to be changes across the board in College sports. Why not start the season a week earlier and have qualifiers for teams that did not recieve an automatic bid from winning their confrence??? Same arguement for a playoff of the top 4 teams in the BCS. But things that make sense rarely ever happen in college sports, cause one hand washes the other and THIS IS BIG BUSINESS! So just by getting selected in to one of the 65 slots the college gets money. So where ever money is involved so is corruption. I dunno but Cincy and Hofsta have to be in the tourny.

The restrictions you're using also invalidate the coaching careers of: Red Auerbach, Vince Lombardi, John Wooden, Dean Smith, that guy at Duke, etc. And what does his playing career have to do with it? LOL u dont even belive that! HIs playing career was a sham just like his coaching career.

I love it u guys are great! but the fact remains PHIL JACKSON IS A TOOL. And those other coaches mentioned actually helped build players. Come on guys Jordan used to make the lineups and he was like the Bill Russell of his day. The coach in the NBA means nothing. The NFL is different, I'm a Jets fan but got ultimate respect for Bill Belichek. But i got no love for Phil Jackson. And mark my words LeBron will have at least 3 rings when he retires. IM OUT!

This guy wasn't even a good player. He even rode Walt Frazier to a chip. Phil Jackson is a fraud. Mark my words unless he coaches LeBron James he will never win another thing in his life(of riding great players to championships). I repeat PHIL JACKSON IS A TOOL.

Barry Sanders was the best in his time. Just like Prime Time ( Deion Sanders) was the best lock down corner/ punt/ kick returner of the his time. I mean I used to wear #20 and write Magic on my cleats. Thas how much he influenced my generation. A dude who was poetry in motion. I can never forget the game he single handedly beat MY JETS. That game got the Lions in and kept the Jets out. But I wasn't even close to mad, cause Barry was worth the price of admission.

I respect that anyone (female or otherwise) scored 113. Most people couldn't even get themselves away from the computer, to shoot that many shots. Or are in shape enough to actually play a full game. Never mind score 113. I remember a couple years back Dajaun Wagner scored 100 on a decent team here in NJ. I will never forget that cause my team had played before and most of the team stayed to watch Wagner cause he was supposed to skip college for the draft. He went to Memphis and then on to Cleveland. Where I think I seen him play maybe 5 games. Shows you how much High School means. But hey thats a great accomplishment especially when some athletes never even make their high school teams. Jersey
