The Steelers lost 18 seconds for their final drive because the clock operator kept it running after the kickoff ended, then didn't tell anyone after finally stopping the clock.
As a Steelers "watcher" Tomlin has had some of the worst clock mgt. since he got here. They blow the clock every week.

Extra point snapped from the 15 question: A team scores a touchdown and takes a 15 yard unsportsmanlike for dancing like a stooge. Will the extra point now be snapped from the 30(a 47 yarder) or will it still be assessed on the kickoff.?

The field goal percentages for the middle of the field between 30-35 yards was 97.5% last year. Extra pts were 99.6. Not much drop off.

The 2 point conversion rate is almost 48%. I would think if you are a bad team(Tampa, Cleveland, Oakland), you go for 2 every time. If you can score on anywhere over 50%, you as a team will be scoring more points. Chip Kelly, have at it.

How can anyone see this as a minor issue?
You can argue all day that the air pressure in the ball doesnt make much difference and maybe you are right, but that is like using a slightly smaller baseball or a slightly lighter shot-put or having your car in a race slightly lower to the ground or saying "I only took steroids to heal faster."
IT IS THE RULES. FOLLOW THEM.
I am a teacher. I know kids cheat on tests. I tell them "Don't cheat". I am sure some get away with it, but if you are caught, punishment is severe. All the "entitled" athletes need to learn they are not above the rules. Even Golden Boy Brady
People make rules, others try to get around them. If you get caught, DEAL WITH IT. They knew they were breaking the rule. They had not been caught yet, so they kept doing it. The Pats have a history of walking that fine line and crossing it. At some point you gotta pay the piper.

They unleveled the playing field. No difference then a PED user. Cheating is cheating. They knew the rules, they broke them(repeatedly) they got caught. As an organization, the have a history. Punishment must be harsh to hopefully help them and the league see that if you break the rules, there are consequences.
I still blame the league for giving the teams control of the balls. They opened up the possibility. If your not cheating, your not trying.

I needed that safety for my block pool. Lynch or a QB sneak/boot is the only play call option in my opinion. Ball cant be in the air.

It is rare that I pull for a player to not succeed at the next level but Johnny makes the list. I get that as a rule QB's are cocky and full of themselves, but he thinks he is way better than he is. I get what Russel Wilson has done as a "smallish" QB but he also has an arm and some accuracy. I just don't think Manziel has the skill set.

Watching that defense last night made the holes I know exist in my Steelers defense look so so much bigger.
Manning is a statue in he backfield and we have once again seen that if you can hit him a few times he almost gets happy feet. He got rid of several passes to early because he was hearing footsteps .

I get that people have horrible allergies that can lead to serious heath issues and possibly death. That being said, i see kids put at tables in the corner because they brought peanut butter sandwiches to school. at some point you become so worried about the outlier that u punish everyone else. What happened to personal responsibility. I dont think that many people skip football games because they may have peanuts there. Northwestern really doesn't care about peanut allergies. They did it for the Pub in my humble opinion.

The school I teach at just merged with another district 2 yrs ago. We had to pick a new name, new mascot and new colors. Black/pink was in the final 4. Was not my first pick, but they do look good.

Tahoe, the die hard fans have always been there. the 9,000 average that showed up for the last 10 yrs, but this has really created a new fan base here. The 20 something year olds that have never experience this love it and are still talking about it and the younger kids finally have a reason to talk parents into taking them to a game. The Steelers will always be sold out if the fans show or not. I think the club will be able to sell this winning season for years even though i expect a little fall off next year as a team.

Moving from right to left is not as easy as it sounds. First alot of teams ahem you in a left handed stance on the left side of the line. coming out od a left handed stance can be very hard to learn for a natural righty. The footwork is very different. 2nd, the angles all change. Its like playing 2nd vs 3rd base. You are still a good fielder but it would be crazy to ask most 2nd and 3rd basemen to switch.

I think the Bucs need to win the series to win the playoff game. Cincy has bullied the Bucs all year. Chapman hits cutch every time he faces him. The Pirates need to set the tone that they are not going to take Cincy's crap.

Playoff baseball basically starts for Pittsburgh tonight. The winner of the Pirates Reds series will get home field for the 1 game Playoff (either could still win the division if they win out and Cards lose out). How important is home field for that game in the eyes of the spofi's??

It is so awesome to see how excited the fans here are especially a generation of fans that have NEVER seen this and if you missed it, what a play at the plate last night. The big problem for the Steelers is bad drafts the last 3 years so they have NO depth. They had guys starting week one that should not have even been in the league, then guys got hurt and they go to their backups. 3 of their starters last nights were sitting on their couch week one.

Looks like you can add the Steelers to yesterdays list of bad teams. How do you turn the ball over NIIIIINE times(said with the voice of the principal from Ferris Buellers Day Off)? Last night Ben took it upon himself to call plays and get the ball deep. I would bet a lot of those plays were not Haley's calls. He threw the ball well but I think just fumbled again. They have a chance to get better i think but i also think they will be lucky to win 5 or 6.
