that's one hell of a recipe....I t is partial stupidity, but to make bad choice after bad choice, it makes it easier for the odds to stack against you... I think it started as a bad habit, but this is more than that...unless the coke amazingly flew up his nose by itself it is hardly bad luck though

Mybe the cloned horses should have their own races....i have also heard about dolly the sheep and various liver problems attached to the cloning.... I also wonder about the value of actually breeding horses from champion stock as a action/reaction...it all just seems bad for business, next we'll have george steinbrenner cloning horses to have sponsers in their manes.

No, honestly the reason boxing is struggling is because the fighters can't read or write and neither do the fans.... Hopkins-criminal, along with 80 more percent of the boxing population....there are as many divisions as there are professional baseball teams. Don King is still thriving...and not in jail. I used to really love to watch boxing, when tyson was 19(criminal) or better yet, pop in an old sugar ray robinson fight...boxing will never be that way again, even if james 'lights out, on social security" toney doesn't lose for another 20 years and fights george foreman for the world's wrinkliest fighter award.

I think it should also be a tie....joakim noah or any of the guys from george mason should get it if it was narrowed down to tournament records...but the ap awards are given on an entire season....even if redick proved himself ineffective against LSU, and morrison did much better in his last game. If an argument holds, my indiana hoosiers had morrison on lockdown for the entire game(sadly he was the only one) Honestly though, if i had a vote, as much as i despise the very existence of Duke, my vote for the year goes to Shelden Williams, who was truly the heart and soul of that team.

I agree with chemwizBsquared on the DOC's...I think that he's also right with the challenges, it makes the coaches more tactical during the game, and can definitely alter the course of any game with a well played challenge...I would like the officials to rediscuss the "no challenges under 2 minute rule" The CFL is a league where the endzone celebrations are choreographed but i think if the CFL was more commercialized(as the NFL is) than we might be having the same thread discussion right now about CFL endzone celebrations...but you are right , the prima donnas are mainly in the NFL, but NFL is not alone... With as much other stuff that is going on in other sports, the fact that endzone celebrations are the biggest deterrent is pretty impressive

Hal, thank you for pointing all of that out...in reference(according to the fact checker) Randy Johnson was a pitcher for the montreal expos, but he only pitched about 10-15 games for them and only made the league minumum..... The rest of the time he was a pitcher in the minor leagues, where the cash flow is considerably lower

From what i'm to understand from what i have read about, and true i may be misinformed, the Lambeau Leap will be banned because he left the end zone to have his celebration.... I think a lot of these celebrations are very funny, Joe Horn's cell phone, Moss mooning the cheeseheads, etc. but every time i see them at the same time, i think of pro wrestling...and i don't want to think of football as nothing but theatrical. John Elway's comebacks, Doug Flutie's BC Hail Mary, and even Captain Comeback Jim Harbaugh's losing effort at Pittsburgh strike me as way more entertainment than someone golfing in the end zone...

Sadly though, all of sports are missing the point....everything is a celebration or an excuse to talk trash rather than leading by example.... High school ball in Indiana isn't sometimes forgoing the dunk, though, they always do...just for the reason that they don't want to run for the rest of practice

As a Indiana University local, the real reason they hired him was recruiting and he was the best that they could afford....they are still seething over Ohio St. getting Greg Oden from IU's backyard and that is probably one of the biggest reasons Davis was on the hot seat(that and the NIT of course)

grum, i'm not calling you out at all, and im certainly not attacking you...you have very valid points and bonds taking a previously unbanned substance is probably as good as a reason as any.... A lot of players do get bigger as they get older without the use of steroids and they deserve respect that they kept training hard as they got older... There are many players that i see that are much bigger as they get older that i don't think are using steroids.. And also it's not like any of us actually know whether bonds is a user or not, and i guess it doesn't really matter... A person's physical size doesn't really maintain if he is a user or not, i just have a gut feeling that in bonds case, it is relevant The fact that he suddenly had a serious injury while the accusations were flying at mcgwire and palmeiro after giambi's testimony strikes me as rather suspicious, and all im implying is that if bonds is guilty than it was a waste of talent, as he was certain to be a hall of famer without guilt if he hadn't used the drug... Sorry if my comments led you to believe there wasn't intelligence behind it...for me they were all pointing towards probable guilt.... So im also done on the subject and i wish to god that wingnut would put the dead horse summit sign underneath this

Who has ever in baseball history increased his home run totals as he got a lot older? I don't care if you agree at all, really, but name one person who has so increased his rate of productivity in his older age...dating from 1998 Also if asterisks diminish the legacy of a steroid user having the home run record, than bonds should not have it...give it to josh gibson

I see your point grum, but the fact of the matter is that major league baseball will honor the record as being broken when it happens....i think there should be an asterisk next to bonds future record...if maris gets one because he broke ruth's total for more games, shouldn't steroid users get the same exact treatment...that's what im implying, not the fact that ruth or aaron are not legends(anybody who still wants to argue that bonds might be innocent need to look at baseball cards of bonds, comparing 1987 to 2003)
