For The Love of Sport: Battle of NFL Elite: On Sunday the 16th the Patriots host the Chargers in a contest that hopefully features very little dancing and video equipment. A weekly column by Sportsfilter member kyrilmitch_76.
Maybe a day late, but not a dollar short. Kyrilmitch's pre-game analysis was exactly what I was thinking. Based on the SD vs Bears result, I had Patriots winning by about 7. So much for that. As my son e-mailed me last night, "Brady to Moss is criminal." The 3 consecutive sacks after the kickoff fumble were surreal, and the subsequent ball control drive was right out of the textbook. Video? We don't need no stinkin' video.

As my son e-mailed me last night, "Brady to Moss is criminal." Yea, and to think SOMEONE in here was acting as if the Moss pickup wasn't that great and that Moss would have a decent, but not great year and the team would be no better than they were when Branch was there. Oh wait...that was ME.

A.J. Smith doesn't look so smart now. Maybe Schottenheimer was a better coach than people want to give him credit. Maybe it was a team chock full of Pro Bowlers because Schott put them in position to succeed.

Picking up Moss for a 4th round pick is going to go down as one of the all-time any-sport roster steals

"Brady to Moss is criminal." That's a great line I wish I had thought of it. I am not going to lie (which I guess would make me a bad analyst or politician for that matter) I really excpected a good close game. I thought San Diego's talent would allow them to stay competitive with anyone regardless of who was coaching.
