I don't have much meaningful to add other than nice story.

As a Rush fan in a past life I'll just say thanks for the link.

Great article. All of my fantasy baseball experience has been in the internet era, and I've always wondered how folks did transactions and tracked standings, stats, etc. pre-internet. Apparently phone calls and the old U.S. (and Canadian Royal) mail system. And also, as it's at least related to the topic at hand and somewhat sports-related, how about some toboggan safety tips from Geddy Lee?

I'm going to keep my past life in the present in lieu of feeling old and in favor of feeling irrelevent. Muchos Gracias for the link. Holden, I especially loved the toboggan safety tips. One will note that Mr. Lee didn't "care about his brain" and wear a helmet.

Although I Rushed through this piece, I thoroughly enjoyed it. It's great to track Lee's progress through the Different Stages of his fantasy career, from using the mail for transactions to being a New World Man on the internet. Lee's dominance of his league means he's no Fly By Night operation, and there's no Exit ... Stage Left in his near future. He could leave his opponents in his Vapor Trails for a long time to come -- heck, until 2112? A Show Of Hands -- how many of you would swap places with Geddy? I know I would, just for a taste of the Limelight and a chance to show my Grace Under Pressure. Oh, and if you didn't like this post, you can either Stick It (Out) or Take Off!

Did you notice the lack of houses in the video, that was not shot anywhere near a Subdivision. I could tell Geddy has the spirit of winter, if not The Spirit of Radio, by his attitude in the film.

A 40-man roster, keeper league. That's awesome.

I noticed that 40-man thing, too. That's cool. Just like Geddy and Rush.

Finally, a light-hearted piece that no one wants to rip apart. I played a little fantasy football before the internet era. Hurried phone calls right before kickoff on Sunday, poring through USA Today on Monday and Tuesday...ahhh, the good 'ol days! With all the stats involved, fantasy baseball must have been three shades of a bitch kitty!

Fantasy baseball, helping to keep rock stars in touch with thier family since the 1980's. What a Superconductor Lee must be to have four championships in the last six years. He's not giving people a Ghost Of A Chance. Let's just Cut To The Chase, Rush still fuckin rocks.

Ok. Please stop. 40-man keeper league is way too intense for me. Geddy Lee sure loves him some baseball.

Finally, a light-hearted piece that no one wants to rip apart. Geddy Lee taught Barry Bonds everything he knows about steroids, Greg Maddux everything he knows about ritual disembowelment, and Barbaro everything he knows knew about racing injury-free. I fuckin' hate that guy.

Thanks Hand...I was getting worried the site had lost it's edge!

and Barbaro everything he knows knew about racing injury-free. Seems like he must have lost his edge.
