“I’ve already died four times": The story of boxer Johnny Tapia, who is to step into the ring one last time on Friday, is one that is a "little too dark" for Disney, what with the suicide attempts and overdoses.

Scorcese would be a better choice than Disney for Tapia's movie.

Wow. They have got to make a movie out of this guys' life! If Scorsese's not available, maybe De Palma or Stone?

Didn't I see a Simpsons' episode where all that shit happened to Homer? But this would make an excellent movie. I was thinking Jim Carey could play Johnny. I smell Oscar.

Yep, I had a Weedyesque response too. Good read, hard life.

Tapia won. They had to replace his original opponent three times, so on the day of the fight he had four different announced opponents, but he finally won a unanimous points decision.
