“I’ve already died four times": The story of boxer Johnny Tapia, who is to step into the ring one last time on Friday, is one that is a "little too dark" for Disney, what with the suicide attempts and overdoses.

Didn't I see a Simpsons' episode where all that shit happened to Homer? But this would make an excellent movie. I was thinking Jim Carey could play Johnny. I smell Oscar.

Tapia won. They had to replace his original opponent three times, so on the day of the fight he had four different announced opponents, but he finally won a unanimous points decision.

Scorcese would be a better choice than Disney for Tapia's movie.
