Hidden: Bears, Best Team in the NFL?: The Chicago Bears seem to be one of the best teams in the NFL easily dissposing of the 3-0 Seahawks, extending their record to 4-0. With their dominating D, and their high scoring O, just how good is this team?

Awful.

They're very, very good. My only concern is Rex Grossman. He needs to continue to perform well for the Bears to have a chance to be Super Bowl winners. Otherwise, the Bears are the favorites to play Seattle in the NFC Confrence game. **One question- whatever happened to Chris Benson?**

They are a whole lot better than the Packers. I bet Favre wishes he had retired after all. He spent all summer without making a decision, and know is deep into the mix of a team that will not even make 6-6. McCartney drafted and traded all wrong this year and now has a rookie offensive and defensive line. The Bears are VERY good this year.

The Bears and the Eagles would be the two top teams in the NFC. The Bears look like the best team right now but I am wondering if their offense can sustain their effectiveness throughout the rest of the year. I doubted Chicago coming into this year because I thought they overachieved last year. I no longer doubt that they are the best team.

Very good yes! The best? Only time will tell. I'm still not sold on Grossman.

Looking at statistics, the Bears are near the top of the NFL in both offense and defense. Having watched all 4 of their games (attended both home games), the Bears look fantastic in all aspects of the game. If only they could start the playoffs after week 4. Barring seroius injuries, I can see this team playing in Miami come February.

No question about it, the Bears are a very good football team. The way the Bears defense played was awesome, and their offense wasn't to shabby either. But I have to agree with what Kendall posted......Rex Grossman. The season is only 4 games old. Can he and his offense keep playing like they have. My guess is I don't think Grossman can. Playoffs are as far as they go. No Super Bowl for Chicago this year.

That being said, I'm thinking right now, the Bears might be 1, 2, or 3 in the league. Four games does not a season make. Just a little early to be bestowing 'greatest' honours on any team.

As for Grossman, look at history. He has had success at every level since peewee football. Injuries the last 2 seasons have slowed his progress as a professional, but it seems to this observer that he has gotten back on track. The kid's a winner, period...

**One question- whatever happened to Chris Benson?** He went 11-12 with a 4.82 ERA with the Orioles, and one hot wife. Oooooops, sorry, wrong Chris Benson.

I think he meant Cedric Benson.

The Bears are great, but the Colts still rank as the top team in the NFL. The Bears are second.

Thou shalt not write a FPP that ain't about what the link is about. Right. Save it for the locker room. If the win in Minnesota is any indication, the Bears should go far. _They're_ probably the best in the NFC. Top five in the NFL. A consistant Grossman and some tough road wins will convince me. As for the defense, the offences they've faced so far are hardly an adequate measuring stick. Other than crushing the banged up Seahawks, I see no reason to be doling out Super Bowl rings yet.

I bet Favre wishes he had retired after all. I bet he wishes he demanded a trade. The Bears defense is awesome and their offense is definately improved, however we're still talking about Rex Grossman...

I have always subscribed to the "Defense Wins Championships" school of thought so I like the Bears chances but not quite as much as I like the Ravens. If I had to pick a final four right now I would be going with Ravens/Pats and Bears/Falcons. OK so Atlanta hasn't had the defense in the past but they look good so far.
