A Real Knockout Artist.: Sportsfilter's own skydivedad interviews 2 time World Champion Luis Ramon Campas.
That's an awesome interview skydivedad. I love hearing about underappreciated career boxers. Of course, now you've got me wanting to see the duddy fight, dammit.

SportsFilter: You've had some disappointments in your career......... Ramon: No No No I have not known disappointments, I have my honor, I have loses yes, but no disappointments. That line really impressed me, it shows that he understands how blessed he is to be in this posisition and if he gives it his best, he shouldn't be upset with himself.

It certainly was an honor to sit down with Yory Boy. I really wasn't expecting him to be so generous with his time and to be as open as he was really impressed me. I don't believe the Duddy fight is going to be Televised but it certainly should be in my book. Anyway, here's some pics from the Fight. I appreciate everyone's kind comments and I'm glad you enjoyed the column. I certainly enjoyed writing it. Thank god I was blessed with a great editor. Thanks justgary! PS A few of the pics are from an earlier bout and aren't the Campas fight.

As a proud member of the Carpenters Union in Southern California I was so pleased to read about this mans dedication to organize other young fighters and try to to prevent the exploition by unscrupulous businessmen. This man is a fine example to all humans of how to approach life -- always with honor!

WOW! Great column/interview, skydivedad! I have seen Campas fight several times and have admired his boxing skills, but had no idea of the kind of man he is outside the ring. What an honor it must have been to have met him, Thank You for sharing this with us.
