Hall Opens Doors for Paterno, Bowden: They have a zillion wins and enough experience to choke a horse. Good choices for the HOF.
The only thing surprising about Bowden & Paterno's induction is that they weren't there already. Good on them. There was surely never any doubt.

"I wasn't expecting it because I thought you had to die first — and I didn't want to volunteer for that," - Bobby Bowden Say what you will about Bowden (like maybe his 31 wins at Samford shouldn't count towards his career wins total), but he has some great one-liners.

Ok, a grudging congrats to JoePa. Even this Pitt alum acknowledges what he's done for Pennsylvania Football. But now...will you retire already? No matter what people say, he was not the driving force behind a great 2005 PSU season (let's be real, Hall/Bradley ran the show). Time to step down and restart the interstate rivalry with the Panthers. You don't stop one of the best interstate rivalries becuase you were struggling against them and to pad your schedule.

Rosey, totally agree the Pitt rivalry needs to be rekindled... But it comes down to greed and more money than being scared of Pitt. Agree Hall and Bradley run the show. But when Paterno walks into a high school to recruit a kid it's like a celebrity's there. Hall and Bradley aren't there yet. So Paterno did have a lot to do with getting the freshman that turned the '05 team around.

Congrats to both men for their accomplishments. I loved hateing their teams for years. I kinda think this will be Joe Pa's last year. He can still go on recruiting visits in the role of a recruiter with out being the head coach anymore.

Joe Pa represents all that is good about college football, & the Penn State and Big Ten (11?) faithful should be thankful for the integrity and class he has graced their institutions with all these years. I'm sure his ex-players are. Penn State's entrance into the Big 10 was a great addition for that esteemed and historic conference, and without Penn State's football program, that would probably would not have happened. One of these days, hopefully, all the wide lefts and wide rights of Coach Bowdens nightmares will exist only on the golf course.
