Pat "Energizer Bunny" Summitt just keeps on going, and going, and going...: now at 900 career wins, Lady Vols coach Pat Summitt is a model of consistency and class. Considering she's only fifty-three years old, it may only be a matter of time before she reaches 1,000 career W's. Congrats, Coach Summitt.

Impresive. Most impressive.

If she puts out, oh, let's be conservative and say 20-25 wins or so a year for another 15 years, she could easily break 1300 wins without breaking a sweat. That number is absurd.

Liveing in the southeast I get to see the Vols play a good bit. It is amazing what Pat Summitt has done. Her recruiting techniques are fantastic and it shows in the quality of players she gets each year. Congrats to her but "Roll Tide" all the same.

Please tell me you did not just say "If she puts out" in a post about women's basketball. Man, l_b_b's gonna break a leg off in yer ass for that, you sexist pig.

Hee hee, not a chance -- I need both my legs for skiing! (but, chico, don't let it happen again, dammit!)

Summitt's record is phenomenal. Have to admit, though, that she looks like she's out of Central Casting for the role of antagonist in a movie about some other underdog women's basketball program -- Our Lady of the Perpetual Double Dribble, with Geena Davis as the unlikely, unorthodox protagonist coach. I guess that's the long way of saying that Summitt looks like a bad ass.
