I had to stop after 4 last night, and I still made a little mess in the cab!: The NBA is back, (remember when it was in trouble?) The first 10,000 drinks are on on KG next week when the T-wolves play the Suns. His motivation is to make the Target Center like a "crazy... rat house." Hopefully he'll have a great game. What are some other examples of players making nice with their fans?

The "Rat House" is a pretty good unofficial nickname for an arena.

I love the idea but, Kevin's got to use his head a little. The article says, "At about $5 a drink" it's going to cost him $50K!!! Well, I did some math of my own and if Garnett buys 400 thirty packs at consumer prices, it'll cost him one-eighth that price and he'll have nearly two thousand beers leftover for later. This is a perfect example of something KG missed learning about when he skipped college and went straight to the NBA. Let this be an important lesson to all you youngsters out there!

Let's see, $50,000 for KG is equivalent to about 50 cents for you and me. Ah, the life of an NBA superstar. Nonetheless, I find it a nice gesture. KG seems to absolutely love the game of basketball; he plays with immense excitement and intensity. The NBA is his college experience.

I love KG. I love KG. I love KG. I think he's better than Kobe, Tracy, Vince and all those other phony heirs. Imagine if KG was ever on the same team as Sheed and Bonzi.

As much as I like KG and the sentiment behind his actions, this sounds like a potential crowd-control nightmare.

I am on the phone to get my tickets right now, so the marketing ploy worked.

It's no biggie. He's just buying everyone one. It's not like he's subsidizing a bender for everyone or something. (Though with the top section seats at $5 a pop, you're basically getting in for free. That's alright.) Is it, y'know, real beer there, or just the cup o' foam you get at most other places?
