Yeah, you're right, I guess. Also, hey, Brockton, a town that's gone downhill since Rocky Marciano left town. (I have no facts to back that up.)

Brockton rox. Or at least their high school football does. Be careful bad-mouthing Mass towns near the sea, you'll get gutted like a fish. "Brockton, a town that's gone downhill since Rocky Marciano left town," sounds like a line excised from The Hold Steady's "Killer Parties".

I bet he'd take them up on their offer before he'd join the Devil Rays.

Hey Chico! Grab da YAyo. Seriously, is Theo worth that much that the Rox couldn't buy him out? You gotta love Bill Murray for this one.

They'd have to offer him part ownership of the team for him to take that job! Otherwise, I can't see him doing so!

When I saw the headline I thought he might have been offered a job in the National league.

When I saw the headline I thought he might have been offered a job in the National league. Now that's funny! Nobody really thinks that Theo would actually take this job, do they? I do think that it would be funny to see him as the GM of an Independant League team though. Maybe then the Red Sox owners would get their heads out of their asses and give Theo what he wants. If they can pay Manny and those other high priced cry babies what they want, why not give Theo what ever it is he wants. Do we really want another Dan Duquette era?

I sure as hell do not want a nother Dan Duquette era. He sucked. But I think it would be quite humorous seeing Epstein as the Rox GM.

I'll take that job if he doesn't want it. My own cube? Net access? Sweet! Its not so sweet Chico I am writing to you from a similar enviornment. After of few years of not working because of health, a cube with Net access and a phone looks pretty sweet to me! lol

serious? Read the article again. If you cant see the tounge in the ol cheek, I feel really sad for you! Please! I know that it is just a joke and Theo would never take something like that and it was only offered as a joke. I am saying that it would be funny to see. If he does take the whole year off, don't you think that some team will offer him what he wants. I know I would! He brought us Red Sox fans a World Series Championship after 86 years. I know that I am only 31, but I suffered a long time. Especially with a best friend being a Yankees fan.

Hey guys,I guess that every time a big time coach or GM becomes available every H.S. ,college and minor league team ought to try and sign him.Doesn't seem to me that it could hurt to ask, after all.I mean even knowing the ridiculousness of the question,it sure got their team a lot of pub.
