Former NFL Star Wanted By Police: Lawrence Phillips wanted by the police for attempted murder , what a surprise . I just wonder with his long history of crime (he started in college) why he isn't already in prison .

Lawrence Phillips? "Former NFL star?" evil, have you been drinking again? "Former NFL Europe star," maybe.

He was playing for the Montreal Allouettes last year and by most accounts behaved himself. Then he just stopped showing up for work and they dropped him. This guy has a whole other set of problems now. What a maroon.

Lawrence Phillips "wanted" by the police. Boy I dont know whats more shocking, this or Randy Moss saying he smokes pot!! ;-) Seriously, I hope they get Lawrence off the street and into jail for a while.

Lawrence Phillips should have gone to jail in college. I was upset when the Rams drafted him. Sounds like he has really cooked his goose now though.

He is currently in custody. Apparently the car he hit the kids with was also stolen.... ... There is an appalling lack of irony in the fact that the preceeding sentence was written on a sports website. Does that make it even more ironic? I'm too tired to guess right now.

I went to the same High School as Lawrence Phillips. He graduated the year before I became a freshman. I remember before the draft how some people thought his behavior could drop him a few slots in the order. I also remember him showing up to our high school a few weeks after being picked by the Rams. The local media outlets (TV/print) made it seem as if we worshipped the guy because he "made it". There were a few people that asked for his autograph (and didn't know who he was), but there were a great number of students (myself included) who felt physically ill that he was being treated like the second coming.

Your welcome garfield. I'll see if I can't dig up the article from that very strange visit.

Because he wasn't convicted of a crime and sentenced to prison by a jury of his peers?
