Another example to why I sometimes do not blame athletes for certain behavior toward fans and media. Manny Ramirez is still having a season 60% of Baseball is wishing to have.So he is having for his talent a slow run. But come July,August, and September everybody better duck as yerfatma hints to.

Manny didn't really care last season, either. He managed to win the MVP anyway. (sigh) The Boston sports media really sucks. Negative, whiny bitches.

He's robbing the Red Sox and more than indirectly contributing to the cost of baseball's highest tickets. What makes me angry is the stupid writers continuously bringing salary and how much an athlete makes into every single story. You'd think he'd understand EVERY athlete makes too much money, so that point is worthless. Tomase is just another example of a spastic, sports-talent challenged individual who picks up a pen and critiques athletes when he probably has no idea what it takes to play a entire major league season (and also what it takes to have to deal with pinhead reporters like him constantly). Does he think every time a reporter speaks to Manny he's going to open up with his deepest, most truthful and personal thoughts? There are presently 4 players in the AL with more RBI than Ramirez, and all of a sudden he owes the fans an apology? This kind of thing would have never happened until the Red Sox actually WON a title. Now that a repeat title isn't just handed over to Boston and they, as a city and fans, are finding out that repeating IS extremely difficult, the panic button is being pushed.

Also, Manny currently has the #10 OPS in the entire MLB among Left Fielders. Hate to see what a Manny Who Cares could do.

I will never understand the Boston media's desire to run Manny out of town. The Boston Globe sports is an incredible piece of work. Maybe it's just that I've been reading it so long -- I'm sure that equally glaring flaws exist in any newspaper's sports coverage -- but they consistently take one of two tones in their Red Sox articles: utterly shameless brown-nosing, and wailing/gnashing of teeth/how could you let us down. I will never forgive myself that I didn't retain a copy of the column one of their resident jackasses wrote after game 3 of last year's ALCS, when they'd just blown another chance at a championship. Hee hee.

Jesus, we only waited 86 stinkin' years for a World Series title, and now that we've got it, the Boston press wants to go spearing people. Up next in the Boston Globe Sports Section: "Theo Epstein: Too Young to Run Sox!" "Johnny Damon: Too Hairy for Sox!" "Kevin Millar: His Beer Gut's Too Big for Sox!" "David Ortiz: Too Happy for Sox!" "Jason Varitek: How Could You Put Your Hands in A-Rod's Face?" Buncha losers.

"Theo Epstein: Too Young to Run Sox!" You obviously haven't been listening to Eddie Andleman on 1510 The Zone. He's been killing the Sox all year.

Saw that last night. Nice how Tomase gets to write a column all about himself, which is the whole point of this exercise anyway. Not getting enough media side gigs on radio and local tv as a good guy sportswriter? Trash someone.

John Tomase does not care. I will never understand the Boston media's desire to run Manny out of town. He's a great hitter and endlessly entertaining. This article is off-base/ laughable, all the more so now that Manyy has started to heat up.
