Why would they close the bid tomorrow?.....Why not take a chance that the Eagles win on Sunday and some lunatic overbids for it?

I think part of the appeal of the omen would be for an Eagle fan to possess it in time for the game which means they need a day or two to ensure delivery. (via SI's Ten spot btw)

$132.50 with 6 hours to go. For some soggy cereal and an old bowl. P.T. Barnum was right.

Well, with omens like this, there's really no point in playing the game, is there?

posted by chicobangs at 10:50 AM on February 03, 2005

not really, we all know N.E. is going to win.

I had to nip to the loo just now and produced something that looks remarkably like Emile Heskey, £12.50 ono.

just goes to show you Eagles fans will buy anything that can bring them luck and a win. Personally ,they ought to be be looking for the dead sea scrolls with the proclamation of an Eagles win cause it aint happening. Ne 34-Eggles-17

N.E. 38, Iggles 10. Maybe. If TO plays, he gets the one TD.
