Hi, Mom!: The success of Donovan McNabb this season can be attributed to a single event -- the use of real mother Wilma McNabb in Campbell's television commercials. Past spots paired McNabb, John Elway, Kurt Warner, Michael Strahan and Terrell Davis with fake moms, causing Touchdown Jesus to smite them all with the Curse of Chunky Soup.
Griffin Sandomir. Wasn't that the name of an evil magician in Harry Potter and the Splendiferous Bowel Movement?

How about why is he mentioning his wife by name anyway? Seems totally gratuitous -- removing it doesn't change the thrust of the sentence. Also, who knows whether she has the same last name as him. Anything goes in those blue states. The more interesting news from the bottom of the story: "The loud yet interesting Stephen A. Smith is getting his own daily, 60-minute show, "Quite Frankly," starting in June on ESPN2" I give it a month.

Plus, DM's mom gets her own payday for going through the pain of childbirth! Which explains why Dad isn't in the picture.

I think we're missing the bigger picture here: the reporter's wife's name is "Griffin".
