Whoop-Dee-Damn-Doo!: The Pistons traded Corliss Williamson to Philly for Derrick Coleman and Amal McCaskill. LB and DC reunited in the motor city, stay tuned two weeks from now when LB demands that Joe D. send DC packing.

And in other news: Derrick Coleman is still playing basketball. Man, am I ever out of touch with the NBA. I thought Coleman sucked a couple of years ago and retired.

NoMich: you're not alone in thinking that. Count me in too. And who is Amal McCaskill?

I would guess words appearing near his name might include upside or contract fodder. But I am also out of touch with the NBA. so maybe he is good or something.

Now we have Derrick Coleman and Rasheed Wallace. Dumars must be one of those guys who hits 16 when the dealer has a five showing.

Crap. Now I might have to go to a Sixers game this year, so I can cheer for Big Nasty. LB has a serious jones for DC.

Joe D. has yet to make a bad deal since taking over the team, and he's won a championship sooner than anyone expected...based on that, I'm gonna take a wait-and-see on this deal. Sorry to see Big Nasty go, tho...DC better come to play, dammit...

It wouldn't totally surprise me if DC broke out of last year's funk and turned in a very good year. Locally, Williamson was thought to be in Brown's doghouse for his defensive play (well, lack of). Corliss played well in the Finals but you could see his defensive unawareness exposed quite a bit at times. Rasheed and DC is a little scary, but they could turn into being very scary on the court, too.

Williamson was thought to be in Brown's doghouse for his defensive play (well, lack of). Very true. Corliss went from sixth man to what, 7th, 8th? Rasheed and DC is a little scary, but they could turn into being very scary on the court, too. They both have plenty of skillz/versatility but their age/history of injuries could be a factor late in the season. I think this trade is a wash.

LB has always been able to get career underachievers to work hard and contribute, but does anyone else think this hurts the Pistons chances of repeating? DC won't see starters minutes, and he could be effective coming off of the bench. But... he's a locker room cancer. Do you really want this guy hanging out with Darko?
