Boston Globe columnist Bob Ryan, once suspended for saying he'd like to smack Joumana Kidd, is taking heat for declaring Vanderbilt's basketball team "too white" to beat Western Michigan. Final score: too many white guys 71, fewer white guys 58.

I'm gonna wait for the media to tell me whether white guys or black guys should be offended by Bob Ryan's comments... Then I'll chime in.

Personally I think Ryan's most offensive quality is that the vast majority of the time he has no idea what he's talking about and says it anyway.
