The LeBron Line: is an easy way to keep up with the progress of the most-hyped-ever.
At 44 games, his rookie year is looking pretty analogous to Steve Francis'.
With all the cash and fame involved, it would be disingenuous to ask if this is fair, but what the hell: Is this fair?

Did Steve Francis start in the NBA at age 18?

If you make that kind of cash, then you are signing on for that flavour of "fair".

lbergstr: no, Stevie Franchise was 22 when he was drafted. Went to college at Maryland.

Fair? Of course not. They've been running a LeBron watch in the local paper on Sundays all year, but, interestingly enough, in the last two weeks, they've added a 'Melo watch as well. It's going to be interesting to see how much debate there is for ROY (if any) between 'Melo and 'Bron. The stats are fairly comparable, and the Nuggets are actually going to make the playoffs. I guess it'll boil down to a 'personal performance' versus 'team impact' philosophy debate, but I hope it is at least discussed (ideally at length).
