I found it somewhat interesting that not only were there no Kentucky Wildcats taken in the first round, I don't recall even hearing the word "Kentucky" spoken last night.
They had two in the top ten last year, so maybe it's just a one-off thing related to the coaching transition, but that has to be a pretty rare occurrence.

Answering my own question: looks like 2009 was the last time there wasn't a UK player drafted in the first round.

Last night's selection of a Tar Heel was the school's first 1st rounder since 2021. Meanwhile, Jon Scheyer gets 3 in the top 10.
One of our local sports pundits here in the Triangle is predicting a career for Cooper Flagg that looks like Christian Laettner's NBA career. 13 seasons, 13 points/game, 7 rebounds/game, 2.5 assists/game. That's a nice career.
