Bishop Sycamore, Patron Saint of Football: Awful Announcing has the story of ESPN getting scammed into showing a high school(?) football game between a college football prep school and a completely fake school.
Before this happened I still had the impression that high schools playing on ESPN were all real schools. But there are a lot that seem more like traveling teams than actual educational institutions.

I wonder how much IMG bilks parents to have their kid play on that team?

This is such an insane story and it keeps getting better/worse with each layer that is peeled off of the onion.
ESPN getting duped is just the extra *chef's kiss*.

It's official, Bishop Sycamore has their first pro day video. Pending that it's legit, of course.

This Bishop Sycamore thing is wild. My friend sent me this article yesterday, also on Awful Announcing. This part particularly got my attention:
"They had an address that they reported to have school out of. I go to that address and no one is there. I ask the people there if they've ever heard of these people, and they said "No, never heard of them. There's no school here." Which led to them obviously being declared not a school for OHSAA purposes, and led to their school charter being revoked by the Ohio Department of Education."
