I'm kinda surprised that Va Tech hasn't won anything in a team sport.
As someone mentions in that Reddit thread, collegiate bass fishing and crop judging ain't nothing to sneeze at. Too bad they are not official NCAA sports, though. My wife's nephew was on the NC State bass fishing team until he got too busy trying to complete his forestry degree. He said it was exciting.
I think one of these beauties should be a pick 'em trophy some time. Especially the white long sleeve shirt.

Never mind about the fish, NoMich. There's a spitting cobra on the loose in greater Raleigh. That's your priority.
I'm not sure that Va. Tech cares about not having won a national title, because they've made a career out of achieving their main objective, which is breaking hearts at U.Va.
In the pre-Frank Beamer days, the Virginia football team could have another one of their patented suck years and still beat Tech at the end of the season and call everything OK. After Beamer got to Blacksburg, most years we had to be content to get our wins from the service academies.

Yeah, that's quite the story. The doofus kid that lost this snake was bitten by his green mamba some time in the past. The antidote had to be flown in from another state to save his ass. He's originally from Florida so it looks like we need a big ol' sign on 95N at the border that reads, KEEP YOUR FLORIDA SHIT IN FLORIDA, FLORIDAMAN

I know Va Tech hasn't won a title because every time UVA wins a title in anything, the UVA twitterverse posts a picture of an empty trophy case located in Blacksburg. This year: Lacrosse! 2nd title in a row with a 3-year championship reign!

They should take the snake man to Dillon SC and put him under house arrest at Pedro's South of the Border. Management will accept the snakes as collateral and will use them to conjure up another car stopping animal show for Northeast Corridor turistas.
