It's remarkable how well OSU and Oklahoma made head coaching transitions from Meyer and Stoops to Riley and Day. While other storied programs have bumbled around, struggling to find the right guy and regain relevance.
For LSU, it's beat Clemson while you can. Joe Burrow was preceded by several ordinary QB's and there's no telling if Orgeron will ever get another one as good as Burrow. Meanwhile, Clemson is in the process of nailing down a lights out recruiting class.
The thing I don't like about the bowl season coming to an end is that college football coverage immediately switches over to all Kiper all the time for an interminable number of weeks.

The Panthers have something to play for today: Christian McCaffrey needs only a few more receiving yards to become just the third player to have 1000 yards in receiving and rushing. He would follow Roger Craig and Marshall Faulk to attain that kind of production in a single season.

He got it. Plus, he set a single season reception record for running backs. Poor Christian, he had a season for the ages, but the Panthers were a pretty shitty team this year, so no MVP conversation for him. Well, that and Lamar Jackson's season.

The Belichick coaching tree almost raised hell with both the AFC and NFC playoff pictures.
But the Lions couldn't quite pull it off.

The Belichick Charlie Brown Christmas coaching tree, you mean?

Detroit got the Peanuts tree, but Miami may have gotten the makings of a stalwart oak. Time will tell.
It's so comforting going into the year 2020 knowing that Matt Patricia and Dan Quinn have managed to hang onto their jobs.

National treasure Kevin Harlan called two games simultaneously at the end of the Chiefs and Patriots games.

He is indeed a national treasure. I love his calls

Oh boy. Seattle got hosed by the non-call on the pass interference there near the end of the game. Wow

Yes, they might have gotten hosed by the non-call, but getting the delay of game call at the 1 yard line was their own doing and I have a hard time feeling any sympathy for them after that.

Looks like we got us a match up of the Tigers for the college football big boy championship. That OSU v Clemson game was a pretty damn good one last night.
