Looking back at an old "Chart Party" video from SBNation/Jon Bois, it's amazing how quickly it became out of date.

In the video, the following statements were made and have since become invalid:

  • A list of teams was displayed under the heading "Schools that have never won an NCAA tournament game". Included in that list were Buffalo, UMBC, and Marshall. All of them have won an NCAA tournament game.
  • #1 Seed winning %, first round = 100%, #16 Seed winning %, first round = 0%. Of course, UMBC upset Virginia that very month the video came out.
  • Of the 122 professional sports teams in the NHL/NBA/MLB/NFL, only three have not won a playoff round: Winnipeg Jets, Columbus Blue Jackets, Washington Nationals. All three of them did so in the last 6 months.
  • There are 122 professional sports teams in the big four leagues that have made the playoffs. There are now 123 professional sports teams in the NHL/NBA/MLB/NFL, as Vegas Golden Knights played in the playoffs that year AND won at least one round.

Kaepernick's NFL workout sounds like a scam and a setup.

I'm surprised the league didn't try to move the workout up to Friday so they could get it over with while everyone was still talking about the helmet bashing incident.

You can't even run an impeachment hearing with Myles Garrett out there taking the top off the news cycle.

@grum Almost always as soon as you talk about something on TV it happens. "X hasn't scored against (tonight's opponents) on the road." 10 minutes later, X has scored. Probably twice.

Stephen Gostkowski and Justin Tucker still have vigilante gangs out looking for the announcers that jinxed them. I think Harrison Butker does too.

I don't disagree with that assessment, but is there a reason that Kaepernick couldn't set up his own workout on amenable terms?

Narrator: In the end, he did just that.

I guess what I meant was, is there a reason that he didn't do that before?

No teams would attend?
