Enjoyed the start of last night's Texas Tech - Michigan game.
Due to a power outage, the initial game call had to be handled by the studio guys, and they smoothly slid right into the opportunity. I savored the experience of hearing Greg, Clark, Kenny and Charles do the broadcast knowing that at some point, the network would get the courtside crew powered back up and we'd have to go back to thunderthroat Kevin Harlan and his gang. I wish we could have heard Greg & Co. for the whole game.
But forces stronger than those on earth were at work.
I can hear the voice of UM deity Schembechler booming down from the heavens, 1989 style: "An Ohio State man will not call a Michigan game. If a Michigan man is not available, a Kansas man will call the game!"

Also, a Ohio State man would not have scored only 44 points in a Sweet 16 game
