Is this the worst field ever assembled?: I suspect it might be

The golf world has been very boring this year, and this just re-emphasizes it.

They should've invited Annika. The Colonial is always a "not everyone goes" event, but look how much drama ensued there.

I think Dunfermline might have the worst field ever assembled if the moaning of the visiting players is to be believed.

I went to the Greater Hartford Open this year. The biggest and virtually only "name" was Phil Mickelson. That was a weak field.

Actually - having given it some thought (a rarity with me) - the field did boast three of the year's four major winners, and Ernie Els, who now reckons he's ready to take away Tiger's world number one spot *silent shoulder shaking laughing*
