I'm disappointed that lizard green Oregon wasn't able to do a better job of being Dinosaur Sr. in the paint last night.

Opening day in baseball used to be games across the league on a Monday, with lots of day games.
Then it was opening night the preceding Sunday with a single big game.
Now what is it? Three games on a Sunday beginning at 1 p.m. doesn't feel like the old opening day or opening night. It's just a random weekend with limited baseball.

Jealous you got to see Dinosaur Jr, NoMich. I really wanted to see them when they played here a couple of weeks ago, but it (surprisingly) sold out before I could get tickets.
But I did get to see The Dickies (and Turbo A.C.'s and the Bollweevils) last night, which was fun as hell. And I have tix to see X on their 40th anniversary tour next month when they roll through StL.

Hate to rub salt in the wound, ufie, but it was the original line-up as well. Lou even sang a few songs.

Yeah, I know. I've never seen them live and really wanted to.
Fun fact (if I'm remembering correctly): jessamyn worked with Murph at a pizza joint in Mass way back in the day.

I don't even care so much about when Opening Day is so much as that stupid gap day after it. What is the point of getting me all excited for baseball, the one sport that happens 6 days out of 7, and then taking a day off right after?

Went to the Easy Action and Dinosaur Jr show in Chapel Hill last night. This was the scene about town. Thankfully, there was a back way out of town.
