Pick the winner and spread for each game. Score 5 points if the team wins, 3 more points if your spread is close and another 2 if you hit the spread exactly.

At your option, make one game a slam dunk to triple your score in victory or lose 5 points in defeat.

Read the detailed rules on the first week's post.

San Antonio and Memphis, the two top teams in the Southwest, meet for the second time -- the Spurs took the series opener by 10 last month on their floor. On Friday, the Nets take the 25-minute subway ride on the B train from Atlantic Avenue to Herald Square to meet the Knicks, while Bill Hader's best friend brings his Cavaliers to the struggling Pelicans.

Some interesting games to pick this week. Interesting, that is, not easy. For example, the basketball equivalent of the "New York Derby". How do you pick between two semi-dreadful teams? Spurs at Memphis is not easy either. Spurs are a very consistent team, but Memphis can play some very good ball at home. I will get out my lucky coin with Red Auerbach's picture as heads and the leprechaun as tails, and we shall see how it lands.

No slam dunks this week. Damn. But Ballast Point Sculpin is numbing the pain quite nicely.

The one-handed full frontal hook Anthony Davis does is a thing of beauty.
