Peyton Manning Has No Feeling In His Fingertips: Denver Broncos quarterback Peyton Manning told Peter King of Sports Illustrated that he's had no feeling in the fingertips of his right hand for years. "I've talked to a doctor recently who said, 'Don't count on the feeling coming back.' It was hard for me for about two years, because one doctor told me I could wake up any morning and it might come back," Manning said. "So you wake up every day thinking, Today's the day! Then it's not."
I don't know how Manning could have the touch to throw at a high level without feeling in his fingertips. He's been one of the best quarterbacks in the league over this span, in terms of yardage and touchdowns if not always aesthetics.
This revelation makes me think his continued success is an incredible triumph of will.

So you're saying he is a Nazi?

I know for a fact that I don't have the touch to throw as well as I could before my surgery, so it's incredibly impressive that he can continue to do it at such a high level.

Not full Nazi, like a former shark-eyed Braves pitcher I fear to name, but one who's just in the movement for the clothes.

I have the same issue and have had the same surgery Peyton had, and he's spot on. I heard the same thing from various doctors, and I can tell its tough to deal with for a long time. Now, it's just the new normal.
