GoFundMe Campaign Raising Money for Fenway Fan Struck by Bat: The latest fan at Fenway to get clocked in the stands along the third base line is doing well, but Tonya Carpenter, the one hit by the bat and almost killed, is facing a long recovery, as of a June report. She has needed to relearn to walk and talk and will likely be out of work a year, so a GoFundMe campaign is raising money for her.
I think extending the nets is both necessary and inevitable. Seats are being put so close that safety concerns should compel the change.

I hope they don't mandate nets along the sidelines.
It's happening already, rumple.

It seems like the Red Sox could cover that $30,000 out of sofa change. Possibly they don't want to suggest liability or something? I wonder if the players could do more?
Trying to keep my values calibrated BUT I hope they don't mandate nets along the sidelines. The big nets in hockey which brought in after that poor girl died in Minnesota are a real detraction from the atmosphere.
