SportsFilter: The Thursday Huddle:
A place to discuss the sports stories that aren't making news, share links that aren't quite front-page material, and diagram plays on your hand. Remember to count to five Mississippi before commenting in anger.
I think self-linking is acceptable in the Huddle (or in a comments thread, to the extent linking to something germane to the discussion at hand), but not as an FPP. Look forward to reading some of your stuff.

I mean, you could at least spend some time here first, get to know the norms and all that before you start spamming all over the place.
(No but seriously, if you'd do me a favor and throw the link into your profile so I'd remember to check it out from time to time, I'd appreciate it)

Don't forget about the "columns" heading. Maybe the best approach is to place the blog in there, with a reminder/link in the huddle whenever you publish.
I look forward to the coming installments!

Even if you're not a cricket follower, this article tears down everything wrong with modern sports broadcasting. It's angry, informed and truthful. We need more of these.

Nice bit of writing, dfleming. Hope it works out well for you, and I'll be looking for more.

I'm not sure how we feel about self-links here. If I am breaking a cultural norm - I'm sorry and delete my post.
But I've started a baseball blog where I'm going to write weekly articles on stories that I don't find elsewhere. It's called Lefty One Out Guy and my first article is on the everlasting Jamey Wright.
It'll also likely feature the trials and tribulations of a Can-Am baseball expansion team, as I moved to Ottawa this year (and they are trying another kick at the pro baseball can) and it's the first time I've had a competitive team at any level in my hometown.
