Let us never speak of this free kick again.

We can at least speak of it one more time.

While we're talking Rog & Dave-O, here's Roger's piece for CBS This Morning.

Why didn't Olivier Giroud get a yellow or red card for elbowing John Obi Mikel when play was stopped?

Scotland used to have a free kick routine based around a fake argument between two players who apparently were both going to take the kick. One would then shove the other to the ground and in the confusion, a third would run up and smash the ball, (usually Into the stands).
So when I saw the kick the first time I thought it was deliberate. Giving Muller too much credit.

As a proud American of Scottish heritage, this made me laugh hysterically.

Wasn't it deliberate though? It certainly looked like it with the exception of the fact Muller seemed to be providing a demonstration of the offsides rule (or is there no offsides on free kicks?).

There is definitely offsides on free kicks, but I don't believe Muller ran past all of the Algerians.

So apparently this is happening.
At first glance I thought Kaka had signed for the Ravens. Which would have been eponsysterical.

What a wild finish in Argentina-Switzerland! The Swiss goalkeeper even got in a bicycle kick.

Serena Williams had some sort of an episode in her doubles match at Wimbledon this morning, causing her and sister Venus to retire. Deadspin commenters are speculating that it was a bout with vertigo. Hope that's "all" it was.

The Astros went around to just about every team asking for their top prospects in return for Bud Norris. Reading the leaked notes has convinced me that being a baseball GM is simply playing in the highest stakes game of fantasy baseball, complete with ludicrous trade offers.
