Video: Ryan Braun Hits Jean Segura with Bat in Dugout: The Milwaukee Brewers lost Jean Segura to injury Saturday after he was hit in the head by Ryan Braun recklessly swinging a bat on the top step of the team's dugout. "No concussion, no fracture but he was laid open pretty good," Brewers manager Ron Roenicke said.

Ouch!

Ryan Braun committing some Brewer-on-Brewer violence.

Nice bat discipline. I'd love to know how an idea as bad as doing practice swings inside the dugout goes unchallenged. If this is really Braun's normal routine, a lot of people had to fail their wisdom roll.

How stupid. I can see stretching a bit with the bat, but swinging it around like that? Ryan Braun has shown in his past to only be concerned with himself and this is another example. And no, I'm not making too much of this. It's the first things little children learn when they pick up a bat to begin team baseball: Watch where you're swinging the bat.

I can't believe the Brewers field managers and coaches were allowing this. As an umpire I've spent much breath screaming at youth baseball players, including some up to high school age, for carelessly swinging or tossing the bat. I used to give them one warning, threatening ejection if repeated. A word to their coach was included. If you have to swing the bat, there's a really good place called the on deck circle. Braun's a proven idiot anyway.

They allowed only in that they had no idea what was going on. Not a single soul saw what happened. But I did. I saw it. It was a roid rage cleverly disguised as an accident. Look at Braun's face, he is clearly raging. AAAAAAAARRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRGGGGGGGGGGGHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!

Ryan Braun has called a press conference to profess his innocence in the Segura bat-swinging incident, and to call for the bat boy to lose his job for not knowing where all of the bats were at all times...
