So here is my survey of the day. With the NHL playoff the way they are, would you rather be the Pens and Bruins, off for almost a week, or the West teams that will only be off a few days. Does the break help or hurt ??

No, don't want to be either Pens or Broons. One of 'em is going to have Naptown-Colts disorder with all that down time.
Worst off of all is San Antonio. If Indiana is able to grind it out in the East, the Spurs will have time to travel to Nepal, squeeze in a 28,000 ft. hike during peak climbing season, and get back home in time for the tipoff of Game One of the Finals.

The break certainly helps the injured Bruins D-men get a little more recovery time. Can't see how it hurts to get some time to heal, though I can't see a benefit when both teams are getting the same time (not like it's one team on one day's rest and the other on a week's rest).

NFL.Com is selling video access to all of last season's games for $24.99. The access shuts down July 31.
I'm picking some games to watch with benefit of hindsight to see how the best teams progressed. (I didn't see a lot of good football last year as a Jags and Cowboys fan.)
It was interesting to see how Joe Buck and Troy Aikman talked about Colin Kaepernick when he came in for one play right before halftime in the 49ers opener on the road in Green Bay. It was a designed run that went for around 20 yards and set up David Akers for a league-tying 63-yard field goal. The Packers were completely unprepared for Kaepernick's speed.

You can stop worrying about Rutgers' abuse issues. The new AD has experience dealing with them.
