Tough Blow to the Senators. Some people are saying they think Cooke tried to do this on purpose. Dont by that for a second. Total freak play.

Yours has a little more detail, s'all good.
Yeah, let's go with the great minds thing.
The NHL has reviewed the play, and no action will be taken.
Intentional, I sure hope not, but injuries to great players seem to happen when Matt Cooke is in the neighbourhood.

Don't like condors at a hockey game? Maybe this is more your style...

In the past Cooke's play has bordered on dirty, but since the long suspension2 seasons ago, he has played a much better/cleaner game.

bordered on dirty
Take it that you were attempting to use the kindest words possible ...
Cooke has a history of deliberately attempting and succeeding at injuring opponents. I do agree he hasn't been suspended recently, but it's puzzling as to why he lifts his skate and kicks the way he does.

Which drug are you talking about?
I'm pretty sure I've seen a similar list of side effects from stuff that's pushed on TV commercials between sporting events.

Steroids do terrible things to the human body -- particularly to the young. If we accept PEDs in sport and laugh it off the way XKCD does, we doom a lot of athletes to a wretched fate.

This is a brilliant bit of video.
I can almost feel the wave lifting me, just sitting at my desk.
