One of the linked videos from grum's is the classic "false start, everybody but the center."

There are a lot of good Ed Hochuli videos out there. He really likes to lay it out for the fans exactly what the call was, and why.

Giants have no plans to include Melky Cabrera on the post-season roster. Cabrera would be eligible to come back from his suspension if the Giants make it to the NLCS, and to begin workouts in an instructional league 10 days prior.
This is an odd move to me; Cabrera is a free agent in this off-season anyway, and given this suspension I suspect the Giants won't be striving to re-sign him. Given that... why not have him around on your 25-man playoff roster as your last chance to get some good swings out of the guy? Sure, the Giants played well without him so he's not irreplaceable, but why not have the bat in your lineup? It reminds me of the Strasburg thing with the Nationals; wouldn't you feel like schmucks if you lost in the playoff without that one more good starter, or that one more good bat? A .906 OPS is nothing to sneeze at, it can change the complexion of a lineup.

He should be overjoyed he didn't receive a stiff suspension.
