Houston Offensive Coordinator Resigns: Two days after Houston lost at home to 36-point underdog Texas State, a school playing its first game in the FBS, offensive coordinator Mike Nesbitt has resigned. Houston, which went 13-1 last season and led the nation in total offense, had the ball for only 16:51. Texas State, coached by Dennis Franchione, joined the WAC this season after playing in the FCS Southland Conference for 25 years.
That could have been North Texas on the winning end instead of Texas State. But NT had bigger ideas.
