oh, and bummer for Rose, after struggling all year with injuries.

Gotta be a heartbreaking loss for Bulls fans (or otherwise agnostic anti-Heat fans). I still have to believe the Bulls are strong enough without Rose to beat the 76ers, but that may be as far as they go.
Given the way the 2011-12 season has been from beginning to end, a Pacers/Grizzlies Final may be entirely appropriate. Ratings be damned, I could get behind that (as a Mavs fan with very realistic expectations).

This means the Heat sail through. I think a healthy Rose doesn't really stop that anyway, but this will just make it easier. Still sucks for Bulls fans, that's a super bad injury for such a young guy. The West might be wide open, but the East is pretty closed up. There isn't a team that can take out the Heat, with the crazy possible exception of the Celtics. No Howard, no Rose? I can't see anyway beating the Heat but themselves.
Great game in OKC tonight.

I feel bad for Rose and also for anybody that was rooting for the Heat to get beat.

For reasons unknown, I am not as poised to see the Heat suffer as I was last year.
Although, I would not cry in my Maypo if they made the Finals and got took out by a unit from the West. The lower the seed the better.

It wouldn't break my heart if LBJ retires with as many NBA rings as I have...

This is terrible news for the NBA and will probably make the Eastern Conference finals a lot less interesting. I wonder if it will hurt ratings as a consequence.
