Brandon Jacobs, Rex Ryan Exchange Pleasantries: After the New York Giants' 29-14 win over the New York Jets Saturday, Giants running back Brandon Jacobs told Jets coach Rex Ryan, "Time to shut up, fat boy!" Jacobs elaborated on their confrontation after the game: "He told me shut the F up, wait til we win the Super Bowl. And I told him I'd punch him in the face." Ryan was more circumspect in his postgame response: "He doesn't like me. I respect him, but I couldn't care less about him."
I wonder if Rex really said that. He's a blowhard, but he's not stupid. "... 'til we win the Super Bowl?" He's not that dumb to say it after his Jets got smacked around.

"They got a big-mouthed coach, a big mouth and a big-bellied coach that talks too much and now it's finally time to shut up,"

...but he was speaking for the other 99% of humanity including Jets ownership.
Occupy Rex Ryan?

The "we" in "til we win the Super Bowl" was the Giants.

Can't argue with what Jacobs said. Ryan is a big mouth with an overrated team led by a sucky quarterback.

I think it's well past time for Rex Ryan to please shut the fuck up.

Or at least hold it back until his team actually backs up the talk. At this point, that would have to be a SB win, of course.
Brian Billick was never anyone's favorite coach, and he knew it. I got a kick out of what he said in his first press conference after the Ravens won the SB:
"If you thought I was arrogant before, wait till you see what I'm gonna be like from now on."

Jacobs did enough on the field to make that comment unnecessary, but he was speaking for the other 99% of humanity including Jets ownership.
