NCAA Forced to Penalize Yet Another Football Coach for Horrifying Acts: "Richt made personal payments of more than $25,000 to coaches and support staff due to what he perceived as inadequate compensation for those individuals. Richt’s actions were determined to be secondary violations of NCAA rules regarding supplemental pay, according to a recent NCAA review of an lengthy internal investigation conducted by UGA."
Once again, the NCAA shows how foolish it can be. First the Ohio State fiasco, and now this.

It sounds like they're just getting a slap on the wrist, but it's funny that doing something admirable for your underlings in a recession is illegal. College coaches like Richt are ridiculously overpaid. If he wants to give some of that back, good for him.

I can't even process this one. I'm sure there's some lame-ass slippery slope argument they'd make, but it's ridiculous.

Somehow, I have a hard time getting worked up about this one. Is he hiring, per chance?
