Lakers Trade Lamar Odom to Mavericks: The Los Angeles Lakers have traded forward Lamar Odom to the Dallas Mavericks for their 2012 first-round pick, an $8.9 million trade exception and "draft considerations." Odom requested a trade after being included in the three team Los Angeles/Houston/New Orleans deal for Chris Paul that was rejected by NBA commissioner David Stern. What does Kobe Bryant think of the deal? "I don't like it. ... Especially to them. We were supposed to come back and get them back, know what I mean?"

The players certainly aren't happy about it. Odom didn't give them much of a choice though after they tried to get rid of him. Gasol had a pretty nice attitude about the whole thing -- it's business and all that.

It is sad when a trade Ends the marriage of a young couple. Maybe Mark Cuban can work some of his financial magic on the Kardashians.

All ths strife can't be good for Bruce Jenner's face.

I don't understand why Cuban never stands pat. Odom's a great player, and Dallas is tailor made for trashy reality TV, but losing Tyson Chandler is a bummer.

Odom replacing Chandler is a huge loss for the Mavs. Sure Odom can play multiple positions, but he'll never replace Chandler's toughness, defence, or rebounding.

And now Barea is reportedly signing a 4-year deal with the T-Wolves and Cuban is supposedly shopping Rudy Fernandez & Corey Brewer. Think I'm done trying to keep up with the Mavs' maneuvering for a while. I'm supposed to go see them play in OKC at the end of the month. Hopefully I can assume Dirk will still be there. The rest will be a surprise, I suppose.
