Third-String QB Leads Texans to Win: After backup quarterback Matt Leinart broke his collarbone being driven into the turf, rookie third stringer T.J. Yates filled in for the Houston Texans in a 20-13 victory over the Jacksonville Jaguars. Yates, a fifth-round draft pick out of North Carolina, had never suited up for a game before Sunday. He was 8-of-15 for 70 yards and drove the team to a field goal. In other games, the Patriots pasted the Eagles, the Broncos edged the Chargers in the final minutes of OT and the Jets came back over the Bills.
Winner of tonight's Giants-Saints game will have a big impact on NFC playoff teams and seeding. I expect Saints to win but if they lose Niners have a much easier path to #2 seed.

The wildest thing for me about the Houston Texans right now: after 11 games, they're your 1 seed in the AFC playoff picture.
