Super Bowl 2014 logo features a snowflake!. But at least New Jersey gets a shout out for a change.

Putting snow in your Super Bowl logo is just asking for trouble.

That's just for the Super Bowl Host Committee. Seriously? The host committee gets its own logo?

I would prefer a full disclosure logo showing that there's no charge to take the bridge to Jersey, but if you want to cross over to NY, it's gonna cost you.

Take out the 2-10 season start and the 5-19 ending and the Red Sox have gone an incredible 82-42.

"No team has ever lost a nine-game hold on a wild-card spot in September. Not the 2007 Mets. Not the 1964 Phillies." -- Boston Globe

Who could forget the 1964 wild card race?

Worst ever baseball collapse?

At this point, I'm content to see the Rays proceed to the postseason. I don't want to see a team with poor pitching take the field. I still wince at the memory of the Padres in the '84 World Series.

Awe. Some.

The actress who plays Phyllis on The Office was a St. Louis Football Cardinals cheerleader in the '70s.

I'm breaking my streak of never watching an ESPN documentary tonight for the one on Steve Bartman. I found something on YouTube that shows just how fucked up that situation was -- here's Bartman's perp walk out of the stadium.

Does that mean you haven't watched any of the "30 for 30" docs? If so, you are really missing out on some amazing films.

As for Bartman, I found what the media and the fans did to him to be absolutely disgraceful.

Pretty interesting day shaping up for MLB tomorrow.

Yep. I'd never watched one before last night. I avoid ESPN programming that isn't a live sports broadcast.

Oh, the 30 for 30 stuff is all made by outside filmmakers. They are pretty good to great on average.

"Without Bias" - The Death of Len Bias.
"The Legend of Jimmy the Greek" - The rise and fall of Jimmy the Greek.
"Winning Time : Reggie Miller vs The New York Knicks" - Title says it all.
"June 17, 1994" - No voice overs, just news footage from that amazing day.
"Once Brothers" - Petrovic and Divac, and the fall of Yugoslavia.
"Into The Wind" - The story of Terry Fox.

are all excellent docs.

However, the one that really stands out on its own (and is one of the best sports docs I've ever seen) is "The Two Escobars". It's the story of cocaine, football, and Columbia.
