Meet Jeb Corliss the winged man.

I thought I'd never see an old style centre forward playing in the top leagues again.

After the game against Chelsea yesterday, I have developed an unnatural and unhealthy man-crush on Norwich City's Grant Holt.

So to speak.

Meet Jeb Corliss the winged man

That was weird. On the very day you posted that, rcade, having never been in Switzerland before in my life, I was sitting next to that very lake looking up at those very mountains thinking "That's the kind of place those lunatics would jump off in the flying-squirrel suits". I ordered another beer and resolved to have a look on YouTube when I got home, but then promptly forgot my resolution. Once again, SportsFilter keeps me pointed in the right direction.

JJ, if you're al fresco, best to keep your eyes pointed skyward and your wits about you. The fellow could come swooping along, singe your brow, snatch your brau, and take out your Campari umbrella.

Gotta love serendipity. What kind of beer?

Feldschlosschen - delicious and gladly unswooped. The only extreme sport I did witness was some cycling; complete nutters bouncing up mountain roads it was exhausting me just to drive over.

Here's what I was looking at:

I just added a beverage and a set of GPS coordinates to my bucket list.

Here's a quick reference video to see exactly how fast that Corliss was flying.

High on a hill was a lonely goatherd...

You jest, bat, but it is nigh on impossible to drive around there without that cursed song in your head at all times. I bet Corliss was singing it to himself even as he plummeted from the sky.

Wrong country, l_b_b, the Trapp family was from Austria. The scenery is similar, and it's actually not that far from Switzerland.
